Sammy release/Sneaking in one last release before the end of 2024!

It's been a while since I've updated the blog.

I got a little burnt out, not gonna lie. My fear came true with the music video review show. The set up I have for it is too much for me. They take nearly a full day to edit after filming.

At first, I was thinking I would have to discontinue the show. I don't think that now.

I think I'm going to be able to do it if I have a very relaxed schedule with it.

Work on it in those times I do have the time. I'm gonna try it!

Hopefully the next time I write one of these blog posts, I'll be saying how great that plan worked!

Alright now to talk about "Sammy"

I wrote this song in 2020. It's actually older than the first two songs I released. (Spider's eyes and Ghost Town)

Funny how that works sometimes, right?

I almost dropped the song. Not because I didn't like it, but because it hadn't been my focus in a while, and it was one I hadn't worked on producing yet. It had a lot more work than the other songs I had already produced.

I relistened to it one day though, and really wanted to bring the song back. It was fun! I got wild ideas for the music video that I was laughing about with Heather, I got a former bandmate of mine (Adam Gerlach) to through a wicked solo on the song...

It became very exciting again!

I was still working out the kinks for the Ghost Town music video before filming it when I started getting wildly inspired to work on all things Sammy. It even made finishing up my game plan for Ghost Town cut really close before I had to film.

I managed though. I just thought that was kind of funny.

Glad it worked out in the end, despite being my own worst enemy when it comes to planning.

Alright so for the last single of the year, I'm gonna have it swoop in right before New Years. It'll be December 27th.

This will be the first song I release with Fireside Shadow with no music video.

BUT FRET NOT.

It also has the first Lyric Video dropping ever for FSS.

The cover art for Adderall inspired the video.

It's more of a vibe than a ton to do with the song. But I'm excited!

It's really fun to create that way sometimes.

I really hope that you guys like the Lyric Video. I had so much fun making it.

Onward we go!
